CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - For the third consecutive year, senior 2 meter man John Rogers was named to the Division III Eastern Championship All-Tournament First-Team. Junior 2 meter man Kevin Amendt joined Rogers on the First-Team this year as well, while sophomore utility man Morgan Laidlaw garnered a spot on the Second-Team. Rogers was also named to the Northern Division III All-Conference First-Team for the first time.

Rogers, Amendt and Laidlaw were instrumental in the success of the water polo team this year. The team, under the tutelage of first-year head coach Felix Mercado, went 15-14 after finishing 14-14 in 2004. Rogers, who is MIT's all-time leading scorer with 174 career goals, led the team all season and finished with 59 scores. It is the fifth highest season total in MIT water polo history. Amendt was fourth on the team with 26 goals, and Laidlaw was sixth with 12 tallies.
