Men Go Big At Jumbo Invitational

GRAFTON, Mass. - The men's cross country team finished third of seven teams at the Jumbo Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Senior Fivos Constantinou again led the way for the Engineers with a fifth place finish in a field of 116 runners. Invitational host Tufts, ranked ninth nationally, won the tough 8k race. Bentley's Ryan Agnew was the individual winner.
Constantinou, who earned NEWMAC Runner of the Week honors after a seventh place finish among collegiate runners last weekend at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, ran the challenging Tufts farm course in 25:58. He finished only 25 seconds behind Agnew. Finishing in the top 50 behind Constantinou for MIT was senior Eric Khatchadourian (10), junior Kevin Brulois (12), freshman Jake Ruzevick (23), sophomore Erik Stafl (32), junior Spencer Dudley (33), freshman Yermie Cohen (48) and sophomore Joe Roy-Mayhew (49).
The Engineers next compete at the NEICAAA Championships at Franklin Park on Saturday, October 8.
