BOSTON, Mass. - The men's cross country team finished 17th in the 47 team field this past Saturday at the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston. The Engineers were the top NEWMAC squad in the five mile race. Brown University cruised to victory with five runners placing in the top 20. Senior captain Owen Washburn led the way for Brown with a first place finish in 24:56.
Fivos Constantiou, who has already garnered NEWMAC Runner of the Week honors twice this season, led the way for the Engineers. Constantinou completed the race in 26:01 en route to a NEWMAC best 38th place finish. The other participants for MIT did not place in the top 60.
The Engineers next travel to Albany, New York for the Albany State Invitational on Saturday, October 15.
