Lauren Dobish enters her first season as an assistant coach for the MIT women's basketball program, marking her first intercollegiate coaching position. She previously served as a coach for a local seventh-grade AAU basketball team.

A 2012 graduate of Bates College, Dobish was a four-year member of the squad who was selected as a captain her senior year. She played in 99 games, starting 48 of 49 during her final two seasons with the Bobcats. In addition, Dobish was tabbed to the NESCAC All-Academic Team.

A three-sport athlete, Dobish was a two-time captain and a second-team All-NESCAC selection in softball. She also played three seasons for the Bates women's soccer team. At the conclusion of her career, Dobish was inducted into the Scholar-Athlete Society.

Dobish received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and appeared on the Dean's List four times.
