Esther Wallace joined the MIT coaching staff in 2015 with a focus being on the Engineers' forwards.
A four-year player at Fairleigh Dickinson University – Teaneck, Wallace was a captain her junior and senior seasons. During the 2010-11 campaign she generated 75 blocks to rank second all-time for the Knights. The same season Wallace's blocks per game average of 2.5 placed among the top 20 in the Division I statistical rankings. She was the 2011 recipient of the FDU Female Iron Knight Award and the Women's Basketball Team Knight Award. In addition, Wallace helped the Knights make three appearances in the Northeast Conference Tournament.
Following her graduation in 2012 with a degree in graphic design, Wallace spent a season playing in the British Basketball League. At the same time, she completed a Master's degree in Marketing Management from Durham University while also serving as the head coach for the second team.
