Clark Defeats MIT, 70-45

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Clark University women's basketball team defeated MIT, 70-45, in NEWMAC action on Saturday. The Cougars (11-9, 4-5 NEWMAC) used an 11-2 run in the last three minutes of the first half to take a 37-22 lead at the intermission. Clark carried the momentum into the second frame, outscoring the Engineers, 22-9 in the first ten minutes to push its lead to 28 points.
Karen Kinnaman, Cherelle Walls and Sharon Prange each posted nine points for MIT (3-15, 0-9 NEWMAC). Kinnaman also paced the Engineers with eight rebounds, five assists and four steals.
