Radcliffe Claims Muri Cup Over MIT

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – MIT's women's lightweight crew team took on Radcliffe in the annual Muri Cup competition on the Charles River on Sunday morning.  The team's competed in a pair of races in eights as well as fours, with Radcliffe taking all four to capture the Cup.

On a choppy course the Varsity 8 crew completed their run in 7:08.4, finishing about 24 seconds off the pace set by the Radcliffe crew. It was closer in the 2V8 race, with the Crimson coming out on top by an 18-second margin. The closest margin of the day came in the Novice 4 event, where Radcliffe won by almost a 10-second margin. The Crimson's Varsity 4 team won its race against the Engineers by over 50 seconds.

MIT will not be back in action until May 9-10 when it takes part in the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia.
