Coming on the heels of one of the most successful campaigns in Institute history, MIT placed 11th among all Division III schools in the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual Learfield Sports Directors Cup. This was the highest ranking for the Engineers in the 14-year history of the program and the first time they were the best performers in the New England Womens and Mens Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). CAMBRIDGE, Mass. This summer Clare Flanagan 11 and Kate Hoff 08 received invitations to represent the MIT womens lightweight rowing program at the United States Rowing Sculling Development Camp. Held at the Vesper Boat Club in Philadelphia, Pa., the focus of the camp is developing lightweight women in sculling as this is the only racing opportunity on the international stage for lightweight women. CAMBRIDGE, Mass. MIT announced today the 2010 schedules for the 14 varsity sports that will compete during the fall season. Five Tech teams will begin their defense of conference titles this fall, including the reigning New England Womens and Mens Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) champions in mens and womens cross country, field hockey, womens soccer and mens tennis. Schedules were also released for MITs four varsity crew programs, as well as the football, mens soccer, womens tennis, womens volleyball and water polo teams. READ MORE
