CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT rowing program saw six current student-athletes, two incoming freshmen, and one alumna compete at the 2010 US Rowing Club National Championship held July 14-18 in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Kate Hoff ’08, Richard Suarez ’11, Lucas Goodman ’11, Ben Potash ’14, and Andrew Schlaepfer ’14 earned medals while Lauren Ayers ’13, Meghan Dow ’12, Katie Everett ’12, and Clare Flanagan ’11 turned in solid performances. CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming on the heels of one of the most successful campaigns in Institute history, MIT placed 11th among all Division III schools in the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. This was the highest ranking for the Engineers in the 14-year history of the program and the first time they were the best performers in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — MIT announced today the 2010 schedules for the 14 varsity sports that will compete during the fall season. Five Tech teams will begin their defense of conference titles this fall, including the reigning New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) champions in men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, women’s soccer and men’s tennis. Schedules were also released for MIT’s four varsity crew programs, as well as the football, men’s soccer, women’s tennis, women’s volleyball and water polo teams. READ MORE
