CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Stephanie Shin capped off her strong sophomore season when she placed 20th in epee at the NCAA Fencing National Championship held this past weekend at Ohio State University. As a team, MIT tied for 24th-place out 27 squads, sharing the ranking with Boston College and Stevens Institute of Technology. Shin notched the second-highest finish among Division III participants in the weapon as Haverford College's Emma Buckingham captured 15th. In addition, she posted the third-best epee performance in the program's history coming after Nora Szasz (14th, 1999) and Lucy Mendel (19th, 2003 and 2004).
