NFHCA Selects All-Region Teams

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) announced its All-Region Teams on Monday with MIT's Anna Ayuso and Cristina Stefanescu earning honors. Ayuso was named to the All-New England East Region First Team while Stefanescu was a Second-Team pick.

Ayuso, who received Second-Team plaudits last year, became the third player in the program's history to earn a pair of NFHCA All-Region honors. She finished the year ranking second on the team in scoring with four goals, including two game-winners, and six assists for 14 points. Stefanescu collected her first post-season accolade after tallying two goals and two assists for six points from the defensive midfield.
