Field Hockey Makes History with NEWMAC All-Conference Awards

CAMBRDIGE, MASS. - Last week, the NEWMAC announced the 2004 Field Hockey All-Conference Team with Deanna Lentz and Cheryl Texin collecting First-Team awards. This was the first time in the program's history that it has received multiple First-Team honors.

Lentz earned her second consecutive First-Team selection, adding to her Second-Team honors in 2002. She led Tech's attack with 29 points on 12 goals and five assists. Texin made her first appearance on the All-Conference Team after tallying four goals and five assists for 13 points while anchoring a defense that allowed 37 goals.
