      <description>CAMBRIDGE, Mass. &#x2013; A league-leading 60 athletes represented MIT on the 2013 New England Women&#x2019;s and Men&#x2019;s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Spring Academic All-Conference Team. The Engineers finished the year with a conference-high 145 selections, followed by WPI with 101.</description>

      <description>BABSON PARK, Mass. &#x2013; The MIT women&#x2019;s lacrosse team maintained its annual presence on the New England Women&#x2019;s and Men&#x2019;s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference team as senior Laura Wacker (Brooklyn, N.Y.) earned a spot on the first team while classmate Meghan Wright (Devon, Pa.) was voted to the second team. The selections for the first-time honorees mark the 19th consecutive year the Engineers have received at least one award.</description>

      <description>BABSON PARK, Mass. &#x2013; The MIT women&#x2019;s lacrosse team saw its season come to an end on Wednesday afternoon as it fell to Babson College, 20-7, in the quarterfinal round of the NEWMAC Championship Tournament. Freshman Kira Schott (New Canaan, Conn.) compiled three goals, five draw controls, and two groundballs for the Engineers who finish the year with a ledger of 6-11.</description>

Freshman Kira Schott (New Canaan, Conn.) paced the Engineers (6-10, 2-4 NEWMAC) with four goals while freshman Connie Nielsen (Sayville, N.Y.) registered four goals and an assist for the Pride (9-7, 4-2 NEWMAC).</description>

      <title>Wacker Breaks Records as MIT Defeats Eastern Connecticut, 16-15</title>

      <description>WILLIMANTIC, Conn. &#x2013; Senior Laura Wacker (Brooklyn, N.Y.) racked up 10 goals including the game-winner to lead the MIT women&#x2019;s lacrosse team to a 16-15 victory over Eastern Connecticut State University on Thursday night. Her scoring performance broke the MIT record for goals in a game as the previous mark of nine was set by Tracy Sadowski &#x2019;99 in 1997. In addition, Wacker surpassed the standard of 142 career goals which was established by former teammate Casey Flynn &#x2019;10.</description>

Senior Meghan Wright (Devon, Pa.) scored two of her game-high six goals during the pivotal rally for the Engineers (5-9, 2-3 NEWMAC). Sophomore Claire Canty (East Rockaway, N.Y.) also turned in a six-point performance for the Blue (6-7, 1-4 NEWMAC) as she totaled three goals and three assists to go along with six groundballs and five draw controls.</description>
