Box Score

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Kelsey Presson scored five of her game-high seven goals in the second half as MIT (5-2) completed a scintillating comeback against regional-power Endicott College (8-2). Trailing 7-3 late in the first half, the Engineers dominated the second half of the tilt en route to a 15-9 victory.

MIT grabbed a 3-1 lead early in the game after goals by Presson, Laura Watson and Elizabeth Lin. Despite the quick start, the Gulls stormed ahead with an impressive 20-minute stretch that resulted in six consecutive goals. Lindsey O'Connell scored two for Endicott during the run, while four other players lit the lamp once.

Presson, who has sparked numerous offensive surges for the MIT attack this season, scored on a free position shot to snap the skid and move MIT within three with seven minutes left in the period. Laura Watson added a second goal before the end of the half, while Deanna Lentz got on the board with two strikes of her own, the second finish tying the score at seven.

After surrendering a quick goal to Presson in the second half, two goals by Endicott powered the Gulls back in front with 25 minutes remaining in regulation. Over the rest of the evening, the Engineers assaulted the Endicott defense, scoring seven straight goals.

Once again, Presson sparked the surge with a free position goal. She scored three more times in the stretch, while Lin, Lentz and Watson capped the scoring for the Tech attack. Lentz and Watson each totaled three goals, while Lin scored twice.

Margaret Gentile had two assists and Amanda Hunter also served up a helper on one of Presson's goals. Hee Jay Kang improved to 5-1 on the season after making 11 saves.
