CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following two shutouts this past week against Lesley and WPI, bringing her to a total of five for the season, senior goalkeeper Meghan Wright (Devon, Pa.) was named the NEWMAC women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week. This is the second time in her career that she has received this honor.
In the game against WPI, Wright made a point blank save on a free kick. The ball was redirected toward the goal and was booted at the net from about six yards out, but Wright managed to lunge and save it with her shoulder to preserve the shutout.
