CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior Kaitlyn Nealon (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) was selected to the second team of the Capital One Academic All-America women's soccer team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Tuesday afternoon. This is the second time in her career at MIT that she has appeared on the national ballot, as she was a third team honoree last year as a sophomore.
Nealon played in 18 games this season, starting 16 of them. She was a pivotal part of the MIT defense that allowed only 18 goals in 21 games. She is the fourth player in the history of the MIT women's soccer program to receive this award and the first to receive the award more than once.
