Jennifer Williams is entering her fifth season at the helm of the MIT softball program. In her third season, Williams helped the Engineers post their highest win total in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) play since 1994 and was named NEWMAC Coach of the Year for her accomplishments.
Williams arrived in Cambridge after spending one year at
Southern New Hampshire University where she worked closely with the
Penmen pitching staff while also assisting in infield and hitting
Prior to her tenure at Southern New Hampshire, Williams spent two years as an assistant for the Smith College softball team as she pursued a Master’s of Science in Exercise Science and Sports Studies. Williams’ coaching experience extends overseas as well, as she served as the Pitching Coach for the Swedish Junior and Senior National Teams in the summer of 2008. She also assisted the Enköping Softball Club while in Sweden and has a wealth of instructional and clinical experience.
Williams graduated from Middlebury College in 2007, where she was a four-year member of the Panthers’ softball team while an undergraduate. She graduated as the all-time leader in career wins (32), complete games (41) and most innings pitched (327.1). She has completed classes as part of the National Fastpitch Coaches College.
