CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Jennifer Williams has been named the new head softball coach at MIT as announced by Department Head and Director of Athletics Julie Soriero. CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Coming on the heels of one of the most successful campaigns in Institute history, MIT placed 11th among all Division III schools in the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) annual Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. This was the highest ranking for the Engineers in the 14-year history of the program and the first time they were the best performers in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC). CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Softball head coach Julie Fox has decided to step down from her head coaching duties at MIT effective May 31. During her four seasons with the Engineers, the squad established 13 individual and six team records. Fox also guided the program to its first wins over several regional opponents, including New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) foe Springfield College. READ MORE
