  • Swimming and Diving Teams Earn CSCAA Academic Accolades

    NORFOLK, Va. – The MIT men's and women's swimming and diving teams received Scholar All-America Team honors for academic excellence during the spring of 2015, as announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Tuesday. The CSCAA honors college and university swimming and diving teams who have attained a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Both squads have appeared on this list every season since 2003-04.
  • Dill Resigns Post as MIT Head Swimming and Diving Coach

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Dawn Dill, the Mary Frances Wagley, '47 Head Coach of the MIT men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams, has announced she has resigned from her position with the Engineers. She has been with the MIT program for the past 12 years.
  • MIT Receives Three Capital One Academic All-America Women’s At-Large Awards

    AUSTIN, Texas – A trio of first-time honorees represented MIT on the Capital One Academic All-America Division III Women’s At-Large team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America on Tuesday. Senior Caitlin Mackey (San Diego, Calif.) and junior Margaret Guo (San Diego, Calif.) were voted to the first team while junior Sarah Wright (Christchurch, New Zealand) secured a spot on the second team. MIT is the all-time Division III leader in producing Academic All-Americas and currently ranks third across all NCAA Divisions with 227 honorees.

  • MIT Student-Athletes Participate in POTS 5K

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – On the morning of Sunday, May 10, dozens of student-athletes from MIT joined 400 participants at the annual POTS Walk and 5K Race – held in Medford, Massachusetts – to raise money and awareness for the disease that affects between one and three million Americans, most of them young women.

    BOSTON, Mass. – A league-leading 38 athletes represented MIT on the 2015 New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Winter Academic All-Conference Team. Criteria includes a minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale or 4.35/5.0 scale, achieving second year academic status at his or her institution, and being a member of a varsity team for the entire season.
