Eddie Gillie joined the MIT swimming and diving staff for the 2011-12 season. He is a 2011 graduate of Wheaton College with a degree in psychology. Gillie swam for four years for the Lyons, serving as a Wheaton Athletic Mentor during his senior year. He currently holds Wheaton top-10 times in 12 different events as well as freshman records in the 200 butterfly, 400 IM, and 500 freestyle. He was also a member of Wheaton’s record-setting 800 freestyle relay team.  Gillie also serves as an Assistant Coach for the Phoenix Swim Club.
