AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2007-08: Placed 14th on 1-Meter and 16th on 3-Meter at NEWMACs, scoring 4 points for the Engineers and adding crucial depth to MITs diving lineup. Scored a personal best six-dive score of 230.25 on 3-Meter at MIT's dual meet against Tufts. She placed 5th on both boards at the meet, in a field including three NCAA-qualifying divers. Placed 7th on 1-Meter and 6th on 3-Meter at the MIT Invitational in December, competing against six different teams.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2006-07: Made the most of her first season of competitive diving. At NEWMACs, provided crucial depth for the Engineers' diving campaign, placing 15th on 3-meter and 18th on 1-meter. She established lifetime best 11-dive scores on both--302.50 on 1-meter and 297.30 on 3-meter. Secured her best six-dive scores on both boards en route to 3rd and 4th place finishes on 1- and 3-meter, respectively, at the Amherst dual meet. Her six-dive 1-meter score of 192.45 still stands as a personal best.
HIGH SCHOOL: A gymnast until her senior year at Albemarle high school in Charlottesville, VA, when a back injury forced her to quit...did not start diving until college.
PERSONAL: Born March 21, 1988 to Richard and Kimberly Aust...has one brother, Michael, who played Division I soccer for Virginia Commonwealth University (2001-2006)...lists her proudest collegiate moment as lettering at NEWMACs after having dove for less than three months...a Course 2 (Mechanical Engineering) major, also pursuing an Applied International Studies Minor
