AS A JUNIOR IN 2007-08: Secured her first two Top-16 finishes at NEWMACs, with lifetime-best performances in both the 100 and 200 Breaststroke. Her preliminary time of 1:14.22 in the 100 was her best time by over a second. In the 200, she swam a solid 2:42.02 in the preliminaries before dropping her time to 2:41.19 in the finals, a best-time by 2 tenths. She placed 16th in both events. She also swam a collegiate-best time in the 50 free (27.87) at NEWMACs, placing 44th in the event.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2006-07: Made the switch mid-season from butterfly to breaststroke, culminating in her career-high 18th-place finish in the 200 breast at NEWMACs. Her performance in the event was a lifetime-best time of 2:44.61. Also swam collegiate-best times in the 100 Breast (1:15.46) and the 200 IM (2:29.38)--placing 21st and 33rd, respectively. Swam to an impressive 3rd-place finish in the 200 Breast (2:47.96) in MIT's dual-meet victory over Brandeis in January.

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2005-06: At NEWMACs, dropped almost 2 seconds from her seed time to place 30th in the 200 IM (2:28.94). Also placed 23rd in the 200 Fly and 26th in the 100 Fly. Swam a collegiate-best 2:33.50 in the 200 Fly in MIT's dual meet victory over Wellesley, an event in which she placed 4th. Her collegiate-best 1:07.78 in the 100 Fly came at the Springfield dual meet. Swam a collegiate-best 27.88 in the 50 Free at the Middlebury Invite in February.

HIGH SCHOOL: A proud member of the Phillips Exeter Academy swim team for three years...coached by Jean Farnum (2004-2005), Lundy Smith (2003-2004), and Tasha Otenti (2002-2003).

CLUB: Took up swimming from scratch the summer before 10th grade and loved the sport; swam for Belmont Aquatic Team in Belmont, MA under Coach Ev Crosscup from 2003-2005...swam for North Shore Swim Club in Stonybrook, NY under Coach Al Scott from 2002-2003.

PERSONAL: Born December 27, 1987 to Jiyi Wang and Dongkai Zhen...has one brother, Kevin, who is 11...lists her proudest collegiate swimming moment as anytime during a meet or practice that she swims to her fullest capability...A Course 7 (Biology) Major.
