HOLLAND, Mich. - Freshman Doria Holbrook made an empahtic statement for the MIT women's swimming and diving program on Thursday, taking third overall in one-meter diving at the 2005 NCAA Championships.
Hosted by Hope College, Holbrook was the only member of the women's unit to qualify for nationals. She scored 374.20 in the finals to secure the bronze finish, although Holbrook posted a remarkable 396.30 in trials to lead all divers heading into the championships.
Hobrook will also compete in three-meter diving on Saturday and Sunday.
