Tufts Blanks Women's Tennis, 9-0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -MIT women's tennis faced off against in a non-conference match against Tufts University today at duPont Tennis Courts. The David v. Goliath bout ended without any surprise as the Jumbos trampled the Engineers in a 9-0 shutout.

Tufts' Julia Browne and Megan McCooey, doubles winners at the recent ITA Regional Championship, held to their reputation with an 8-0 victory over MIT's Anastasia Vishnevetsky and Alex Hall. The Jumbos have now won thirteen consecutive matches over the Engineers.

MIT (1-2) hosts Clark University in its next match Saturday, October 3, at 1 p.m. On Sunday, October 4, Tufts (1-0) hosts Babson College at 10 a.m.
