Quisenberry, Hsu Named NEWMAC Doubles Team of the Week

Cambridge, Mass. -- MIT freshmen Lauren Quisenberry and Julia Hsu have been named the first NEWMAC women's tennis doubles team of the week.

The pair posted an impressive 8-1 victory at first doubles on Saturday afternoon to help the Engineers to a 7-2 win over Smith College. Each woman also won individual singles matches by matching 6-1, 6-2 scores as MIT emerged from the first week of competition with a victory.

Hsu is from Knoxville, Tennessee and comes to MIT after playing for Farragut High School, while Quisenberry played for Gregory-Portland and hails from Corpus Christi, Texas.
