Cambridge, Mass. -- For the second week in a row, freshman Lauren Quisenberry has earned the honor of New England Women's and Men's Atletic Conference (NEWMAC) women's singles player of the week.
Quisenberry had her biggest week yet as she went 3-0 in singles play, including a win over defending Division 3 National Champion Julia Browne of Tufts. To start the week, she defeated Sarah Whitaker of Babson 6-1, 6-0, then she defeated Browne in an amazing 3 set match, 2-6, 7-6 (4), 10-5. She finished off the week by defeating Nahrhee Han of Mt. Holyoke 6-0, 6-1.
Lauren remains undefeated in conference play and has helped her team remain undefeated in conference matches as well.
This makes four weeks in a row that Lauren has been involved in NEWMAC honors, as she was part of the doubles team that won the honor the weeks of September 13th and 20th.
