After two years away from the MIT women’s tennis program, Peter Varnum returned to the Engineers as a volunteer assistant coach in 2013-14.
Varnum played his collegiate tennis at Division III Carleton College in Northfield, Minn. where he garnered all-conference honors for three years in singles and doubles and earned a bachelor's degree in English. He played in the singles lineup anywhere from 2-5 and all three doubles positions.
Varnum is excited about having the opportunity to work with such a dynamic group of women, and hopes that the season brings them lots of success and fun. He lives in Somerville and attends The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
