CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The MIT women's tennis team was one of 54 Division III programs to receive Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team plaudits. Individually, Elaine Ni earned her second ITA Scholar-Athlete nod while Jusleen Karve, Joanna MacKay, Karina Pikhart, and Yi Wang were selected for the first time.

The ITA All-Academic Team Award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 4.0 or above (on a 5.0 scale). In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status, a player must be a varsity letterwinner, have grade point average of at least 4.4 (on a 5.0 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
