Taylor Named Coach of the Year; All-Sportsmanship Teams Announced

Westwood, Mass. (May 10) -- MIT head coach Halston Taylor has been named as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Track and Field Coach of the Year after guiding his team to their 10th straight NEWMAC Championship.

Overall, Taylor is an 18-time NEWMAC Coach of the Year as he was named as the NEWMAC Women's Coach of the Year in 2017 as well. Taylor's teams also claimed the New England D3 Outdoor Championships this past weekend and have a number of individuals qualified for the upcoming NCAA Division III National Championship in La Crosse, Wis.

In addition to Taylor's honor, men's track and field freshman jumper Yorai Shaoul (Raanana, Israel) and women's senior distance runner Mary Eccles (Wahaiwa, Hawaii) each earned spots on their respective All-Sportsmanship Teams.
