      <title>Three Engineers Named to Capital One Academic All-District Team</title>

      <description>CAMBRIDGE, Mass. &#x2013; Three members of the MIT women&#x2019;s outdoor track and field team were named to the Capital One Academic All-District One team as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday afternoon. Senior Lauren Kuntz (Pittsburgh, Pa.), junior Jaclyn Konopka (Novi, Mich.) and sophomore Dacie Manion (Old Town, Maine) will represent MIT on the national ballot and will vie for Academic All-America honors to be voted on next month.</description>

      <title>Lauren Kuntz Selected as NEWMAC Woman of the Year</title>

      <description>BABSON PARK, Mass. &#x2013; MIT senior Lauren Kuntz (Pittsburgh, Pa.) was selected as the New England Women&#x2019;s and Men&#x2019;s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Woman of the Year honoree at the conference&#x2019;s annual meetings on Wednesday. Kuntz, the 2013 NEWMAC pole vault champion, will be put forward as the conference&#x2019;s representative for the NCAA Woman of the Year award and will be considered for selection as one of the top candidates from each of the NCAA&#x2019;s three divisions.</description>

      <title>Women's Track and Field Concludes Season at NCAA Championships</title>

      <description>LA CROSSE, Wis. - On the third and final day of competition at the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday evening, the MIT women's track and field team were represented by  just two athletes. Senior Brooke Johnson (Shoreham, N.Y.) and freshman Sarah Quinn (Watchung. N.J.) competed in the 1500m before Johnson raced in the 5000m later that night.</description>

      <title>MIT Women's Track &amp; Field Wraps up First Day of NCAAs</title>

      <description>LA CROSSE, Wis. - Seven members of the MIT women's track and field team made the trip to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which will run through Saturday, May 25. After the first day of competition, the Engineers are currently in tenth place with six points, scored solely by sophomore Elaine McVay's (San Ramon, Calif.) impressive performance in the 10,000m.</description>

The Engineers will be making the trip to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse for the Championships that will take place from Thursday through Saturday, May 23-25.</description>

Two different Engineers broke MIT records over the weekend, while one improved on her own record.</description>

      <description>WATERVILLE, Maine - On the final day of competition at the New England Division III Championships at Colby College on Saturday afternoon, the MIT women's outdoor track and field team finished in first place with 126.50 points, leaving a sizeable gap between them and second place-finishing Tufts University with 93 points. The Engineers, who finished in second place last year behind Williams College, moved up two places from yesterday to take the win.</description>
