Bradshaw Sets Record as MIT Tops Colby and Bates

WATERVILLE, Maine - Junior Andrea Bradshaw highlighted a winning performance for women's track and field this weekend as the Engineers secured a four-point victory over Colby while finishing 19 points ahead of Bates. MIT finished first in eight individual events.
Margaret Leibovic broke the tape in the short sprints, running13.03 in the 100-meter dash and 26.81 in the 200m.
Sophomore Amy Magnuson was the only other dual winner on the afternoon as she finished first in the 100-meter hurdles as well as the long jump. Magnuson cruised to a two second victory in the hurdles behind a clip of 14.64.
Other event winners included Aline Thomas in the discus, Karin Fisher in the pole vault, Jacqui Wentz in the steeplechase and Bradshaw. Adrienne Bolger nearly re-set her school record in the 1500m, finishing second overall in a time of 4:45.41.
