CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT women’s
volleyball program was one of seven teams to earn the New England
Women’s Volleyball Association (NEWVA) Academic Team Award.
Squads must attain a minimum grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0
scale during the fall semester.
Also making the cut was Bowdoin College, Connecticut College,
Emerson College, Husson College, Middlebury College, and Williams
College.
Established nearly 25 years ago, NEWVA is open to all collegiate
institutions in New England sponsoring Division III women’s
volleyball. Membership has grown to nearly 60 members in 2010,
