MIT Defeats WPI, Remains Perfect in NEWMAC Play

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Following a 14-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-19 over host WPI, the MIT women’s volleyball team improved to 19-4 on the year and 6-0 in New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action.

Jenny Li paced the Engineers’ balanced attack with 15 kills as Alex May recorded 10 kills and 13 digs. Barden Cleeland posed 11 kills and four blocks while Kelly Schulte notched 10 kills. Katie Spielbauer anchored the defense with 14 digs as Anna Dikina added 12. Alyssa Rothman dished out 43 assists in the Cardinal and Gray’s eighth consecutive win.
