2010: Played 101 sets...242 kills...186 digs...48 blocks...26 aces...ranked third on the team in kills and digs and fifth in blocks...posted a career-high 16 kills against Springfield (9/28)...collected 11 digs versus Bowdoin (9/10), Williams (9/24) and Coast Guard (10/30)...earned four aces against Mount Holyoke (9/14)...totaled four blocks versus Emmanuel (9/11) and Endicott (9/25).

2009: Played 31 sets...71 kills...tallied 15 kills and eight digs at Gordon (9/5)...registered three aces against Mount Holyoke (10/31)...notched two blocks versus DeSales (9/11).

Off the Court at MIT: Majoring in environmental engineering with a concentration in writing... completed an internship with ESA PWA, a company that provides high quality environmental hydrology and coastal and estuarine restoration...Alpha Phi...played softball freshman year and was a member of the tennis team last spring.

Why I Chose MIT: I came for Campus Preview Weekend and got to play with and hang out with the volleyball team. After that, I could picture myself as a part of the team and a part of MIT. MIT had become a place where I could live a balanced life.

High School: A 2009 graduate of St. Ignatius College Prep.

Club: San Francisco Juniors Volleyball Club (five years).

Personal: Daughter of Stella Perone and Dan Leonard...mother played tennis at MIT...brother Columbus '12 is the goalie for MIT's water polo team.
