Why I Chose MIT: I chose MIT because apart from being an extremely challenging and rewarding school, the atmosphere seems unlike that of any other topnotch college. The environment of collaboration and value seen in working with one's classmates were the qualities that separated MIT from the other institutions I applied to. These characteristics combined with its ability to prepare me for medical school, location in the city of Boston, and medium sized undergraduate population of about 4,000 students led me to enroll.
