Why I Chose MIT: I applied to MIT because I knew I wanted to study engineering and it has earned the distinction of the best school in almost every engineering field. When I was accepted I decided to come because I couldn't imagine living life knowing I had passed up an opportunity like this. After visiting the school and interacting with the students I knew that it was a good fit for me socially too. Being able to continue playing sports was just an added benefit. At the time sports didn't factor in my choice when deciding, but knowing now how much they have enriched my college experience I would have weighed them more heavily in my choice.
