Off the Court at MIT: Major is undecided.

Why I Chose MIT: The stellar reputation may have been what first attracted me to MIT, but it was the people who made it feel like home. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and friendly, and as cheesy as it sounds, they made the campus, dorms, and Infinite Corridor feel a little bit like home. Additionally, I loved the focus on learning, not just on grades; I was overwhelmed by the number of students who said they prioritized their deep understanding over their test results, and that paid off for a more solid foundation in their major come junior and senior years. MIT offered the perfect balance of academics, athletics, and social: while understanding that the students put their classes and their learning first, Tech sports are competitive and successful, and students still get the chance to hang out with their friends, whether it's during a study break, dorm dinner, or just hanging out on the weekend.
