CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The MIT women’s volleyball team fell to Springfield College, 25-11, 25-21, 25-23, in a New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match on Tuesday. The loss lowered the Engineers’ ledger to 8-6 on the year and 2-1 in conference play.
Alex May paced MIT with 15 kills and 11 digs as Katrina Ellison contributed four kills and two blocks. Jenny Li notched four kills and three blocks while Kelly Schulte posted a pair of aces. Evelyn Cordner dished out 20 assists with Barden Cleeland recording three blocks followed by two from Cecily Joujon-Roche. Lindsay Hunting collected 11 digs as Natasha Jensen registered eight of her own.
