MIT Controls Clark In Straight Sets

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Caroline Jordan and Briana Stephenson each had 10 kills as visiting MIT defeated Clark University, 30-23, 30-17, 30-19, on Wednesday. The Engineers (18-5, 5-0 NEWMAC) used 15 service aces and a .321 team hitting percentage to record their fifth consecutive sweep over a conference opponent.

Stephenson's 10 kills came on just 18 attempts without an error (.556) while she added two solo and one assisted block to finish as Tech's top point-scorer on the night with 12.5. Amanda Morris handed out 35 assists, with Frances Rogoz (nine kills) and Rose Zhong (eight kills) serving as her top targets on the outside. Lindsay Hunting led MIT with five aces, followed closely by four apiece from Carrie Buchanan and Arlis Reynolds. Reynolds recorded a team-high 13 digs in the win.
