CAMBRIDGE, MASS. - The MIT women's volleyball team won its sixth NEWMAC match in a row by defeating WPI, 30-16, 30-16, 30-23, on Tuesday night. The Engineers now stand at 17-5 overall and 6-0 in Conference play.
Joy Hart's team-high eight digs made her the third member of this year's team to eclipse the 1000 dig mark. Alexandra Huston-Carico led Tech's offense with seven kills and added three assisted blocks. Frances Rogoz had six kills, one solo block and two assisted blocks. Arlis Reynolds and Carrie Buchanan each totaled seven digs while Reynolds had five aces and Buchanan posted four. In her debut as a setter, Amanda Morris dished out 28 assists.
This weekend MIT will compete in Wellesley College's quad-match.
