CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – On the heels of her impressive individual victory last weekend, Katherine Eve was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday. Eve was the top overall finisher, as MIT won the Engineer's Cup over RPI and WPI at Franklin Park on Saturday.
Eve pulled away from the rest of the field to finish the five-kilometer course over a minute faster than her closest follower. Eve's time of 18:39 was the fifth fastest in program history at the Engineers' home course.
The Cardinal and Gray accounted for six of the top seven finishers in the race, for a total of 18 team points, easily eclipsing RPI's runner-up score of 57.
