Women's XC 3rd Of 3 At Wellesley Invitational

WELLESLEY, Mass. - The women's cross country team finished third of three teams at the Wellesley Invitational this past Saturday. Freshman Christa Humbert led the way for MIT, placing 14th in the 42 harrier field. New York University took second place, while host Wellesley College won the invitational with nine of the top 10 runners.

Coming in behind Humbert for MIT was senior Jordan Wirfs-Brock (19), freshman Jennifer Doyle (26), junior Becky Idell (27) and senior Liz Walker (36).

The Engineers next compete in the NEWMAC Championships on October 29th at Smith College in Northampton, Mass.
