SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Elizabeth Finn continued to impress in her first year of collegiate cross country competition on Saturday, as she took 22nd place and helped MIT finish 12th of 41 teams at the NCAA Division III Qualifier. Caroline Cretti was first to finish the 6k race in 21:30.70, and she and two other harriers from Williams College placed in the top 10. Williams won the competition convincingly over second place Colby College. Finn, who placed ahead of 260 runners, finished only 1.2 seconds behind Tracy Bassett of Wellesley College. Had she beaten out Bassett, she would have earned a trip to Nationals.

Finishing behind Finn for the Engineers was junior Jessie Thompson (51), junior Hana Adaniya (77), senior Betsy Eames (98), sophomore Vicky Hsu (112), sophomore Stephanie Flavin (113) and junior Alisha Schor (114).

With no national qualifiers, the women's cross country season has come to a close.
