CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – After closing out the fall season at their respective Atlantic Coast Championships, the MIT sailing teams saw some movement in their positions on the Sperry – Top Sider College Rankings. The coed squad climbed up three spots to No. 13 while the women's unit dropped back one slot to No. 9 in the final poll.
A member of the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association, the coed team was one of eight squads from the league to earn a national ranking. Fellow conference foes include: Yale (No. 2), Dartmouth (No. 3), Boston College (No. 7), Roger Williams University (No. 9), Connecticut College (No. 14), Brown (No. 15), and Tufts University (No. 16). The Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association was represented by eight squads, followed by two from both the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association and the Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference.
