Haig, Caso and McGoldrick named NEISA Women’s Sailors of the Week

Cambridge, Mass. (September 12) – After sweeping both divisions and leading the Engineers to first place finish at the Toni Deutsch Trophy over the weekend, Emily Haig (Beach Haven, N.J.), Sarah Caso (Duxbury, Mass.) and Brooke McGoldrick (Southport, Conn.) were selected as the New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association's (NEISA) Women's Sailors of the Week.

The trio propelled the Engineers to the Toni Deutsch Trophy team title and to a first place finish in the B Division by 29 points. Haig, Caso and McGoldrick won seven of 13 races sailed as they took down Harvard (61 points), Dartmouth (65 points) and Brown (67 points) in their division.

MIT returns to the water this coming weekend as MIT hosts the Hatch Brown Trophy and heads to Harvard for the Regis Trophy. Both events are two days and are scheduled to start at 10:30 am on Saturday and 9:30 am on Sunday.
