CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Senior first baseman Thomas Phillips followed up NEWMAC Player of the Week accolades by being selected as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) National Hitter of the Week. Phillips delivered a monster seven-day stretch at the plate.

In five games, Phillips was 14-for-18 with five homeruns, eight runs scored, and 12 RBI.

In a doubleheader against the University of Chicago, Phillips finished 6-for-6 with three homeruns and seven runs batted in. In a doubleheader against Wheaton, he closed 7-for-8 with four RBI.

For the week, Phillips batted a remarkable .778 and posted an on-base percentage of .810.
