Boston, Mass. (February 6) -- MIT men's basketball sophomore Bradley Jomard (Paris, France) has been named as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Offensive Player of the Week for his play in a pair of wins last week.
Jomard, who was honored last week as the conference's Defensive Player of the Week, earns his first offensive honor of the season after leading the Engineers with 22 points per game. He also added six rebounds and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from three as he knocked down nine three-pointers.
Highlighting his week was a 27-point effort in a road win at Springfield, followed by a 17-point showing in a home win over Coast Guard that featured five three-pointers.
MIT, which sits at 16-5 overall and 8-2 in the NEWMAC, is back in action on Wednesday, February 8th as the Engineers travel to WPI for a 7 p.m. start in Harrington Auditorium.
