Parkville, Mo. (January 18) -- MIT men's basketball senior Bradley Jomard (Paris, France) has been named to the 2019 Bevo Francis Award Watch List, as announced by Small College Basketball. This list includes 100 of the top men's basketball players in the country who compete in the affiliations of NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA Division I, NAIA Division II, USCAA and NCCAA.
This marks the fourth season of the Bevo Francis Award and this is the second straight year that Jomard has been named to the Top 100 Watch List.
In 15 games, Jomard currently leads the Engineers at 17.5 points per game while shooting 53.7 percent from the field and 34.2 percent from three-point land. He is also adding 4.7 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game and is coming off back-to-back double-digit assist performances. Jomard also has 14 double-digit scoring games, ranks first in the league in total assists with 89 and is among the top 10 in nine other categories.
On February 15, SCB will publish the next Watch List with 50 players. The list will be narrowed down to 25 players in a Watch List published on March 15. The finalists will be announced in a highlight video that will be released on April 6.
The 2019 Bevo Francis Award winner will be announced on April 8. The award will be presented to the award winner on May 11 at the SCB National Awards Show in conjunction with the SCB Alumni Association's Celebration of the Game event at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Kansas City, Missouri.
