Cambridge, Mass. (February 5) -- MIT men's basketball senior Bradley Jomard (Paris, France) has been named to the D3Hoops.com Division III National Team of the Week for his play in a pair of victories last week. Jomard joins teammate AJ Jurko (Weston, Fla.) as the two Engineers who have earned this honor in the 2018-19 season.
Jomard, who was also named as the NEWMAC Offensive and Defensive Athlete of the Week, averaged 27 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists in a pair of road victories at Babson and Wheaton. In the win at Babson, Jomard tallied a career-high 38 points that included 29 in the second half alone. Finishing that game with a double-double as he had 10 rebounds, Jomard shot 66.7 percent from the field, 62.5 percent from three and 81.8 percent from the free throw line.
The Engineers, who are now ranked No. 6 in the D3Hoops.com National Poll, sit at 19-2 overall and 9-1 in NEWMAC play. The team has four regular-season games remaining, with the first of those coming on Wednesday, February 6th as the U.S. Coast Guard Academy visits Rockwell Cage for a 7 p.m. start.
