Roberts Named to National Team of the Week

Cambridge, Mass. (February 19) -- MIT senior forward Tim Roberts (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) has been named to the National Team of the Week and joins teammates Bradley Jomard (Paris, France) and AJ Jurko (Weston, Fla.), who were honored earlier in the season. 

In a 2-0 week for the No. 7 ranked Engineers, Roberts averaged a double-double with 23.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game as he now has 17 double-doubles this season. Shooting 81.8 percent from the field as well, Roberts added three blocks and five steals in 69 minutes of action. Overall, Roberts leads the nation in field goal percentage and is fourth in double-doubles.

MIT returns to the court on Thursday night as the Engineers host the winner of Babson/WPI in the NEWMAC semifinals beginning at 7 p.m. at Rockwell Cage.
